George Takei & Company Rule - In ‘Equus’ at East West Players!

You’ve got until December 4 to catch East West Players’ new hit revival of “Equus,” Peter Shaffer’s Tony-winning psychodrama starring Capt. Sulu himself, Mr. George Takei, as a psychiatrist treating a teenaged boy (Trieu D. Tran) who has perpetrated a heinous crime upon a stable of horses, blinding them.
It’s a truly dazzling production now on stage at the David Henry Hwang Theatre, 120 Judge John Aiso St. in Little Tokyo, near downtown L.A. EWP Producing Artistic Director Tim Dang, who says he’s been passionately wanting to direct “Equus,” is in top form here, reverent to Shaffer’s script while adding his East West Players touch in 100% effective manner.
The entire cast and crew deserve the rave reviews they’re getting! We say ditto and bravo and order your tickets now!
